Welcome to Term 1

I would like to welcome everybody back to Wattle Grove for 2017. I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are ready for a new year ahead. We have had a busy couple of weeks already. I was very excited to hear that I would be teaching the same students again in Year 5. I would also like to welcome a few new faces to Room 25.

What has been happening?

We have set up our collaborative learning teams and have already taken part in a group activity. Each group had to decide on items to take with them to Mars. They presented their ideas to the class.

We have also started a Culture Corner in the classroom. We have started learning about Chinese New Year. We would like to thank Mr Meachem for coming in to share his stories of China and some interesting artefacts.

We celebrated Aussie Day on Friday. A big thank you to everyone who came in dressed in Australian outfits and colours. It was a fantastic day. Room 25 created some wonderful maps showing the major states, cities, rivers and mountains within Australia.

Finally, thank you to all the parents who attended our Parent Info Night this evening. Keep checking out the blog and here's to a fantastic year,
