Welcome back.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and a well deserved rest.
We were sorry to say goodbye to Cathy who returned to China but we were fortunate enough to welcome Su to our class.
We look forward to a great term.

Enjoying time with our buddies.

At the end of Semester One we spent time with our Pre Primary buddies. Previously in the term they came to listen to our dinosaur stories we had written for them. This time we were invited to their classroom to view the dinosaur dioramas they had created and listen to their stories.

We were very impressed with what they had achieved.

The Pre Primary children had worked very hard to produce some excellent work.

We look forward to our next visit.

My experience of being a student councillor has been good. The best thing about it was helping everyone. Some of the jobs I did was checking my class were lining up properly at recess, collecting lunch orders, attending school council meetings and running the class council meetings. My advice for the next student councillor would be to get here on time, be kind and help people.

Thank you
Amy

Goodbye and Good Luck Cathy.

Cathy will be leaving Wattle Grove at the end of the week and Room 9 would like to wish her all the best on her new adventures back in China. Cathy has been an excellent member of the class and will be greatly missed by all. Thank you for everything you have brought to our Wattle Grove. We will especially miss your Mathematical Mastermind!

Keep in touch.

Year Level Challenge

Congratulations to Joshua, Alyssa, Amy, Farhan and Dillon who all achieved 100% on their year level challenge this term.
You should be really proud of your achievements.

Well done to Tiana, Owen, Doyle, Cathy and Kyle who all got the most improved from term 1. They have obviously been working extremely hard.
I was very proud of the whole class who all managed to improve their results. Great work!

Literacy Block
Room 9 have been working hard each day during the Literacy Block rotations. They have been developing their skills within spelling, grammar, reading, comprehension and writing.

I have been impressed with the improvement of the writing in the class and also the greater understanding of comprehension they have been demonstrating.

The children have been learning in a variety of ways, through games, computers, word books and a number of texts during guided reading.

The children have had fun with their learning and I look forward to another term of fantastic work.

Have a wonderful holiday and see you back safe and well next term.
