Harmony Day

Harmony Day is a national observance that celebrates Australia’s cultural, linguistic and religious diversity on March 21 every year.

Everybody looked amazing today to celebrate Harmony Day. The school looked so colourful. Some children dressed in traditional dress. Thank you to all parents for your support.

The students took part in a parade in the morning. It gave everybody the chance to see a variety of costumes and flags and listen to music from around the world.

We are extremely fortunate to live in such a wonderful country with so many different cultures.

Happy Harmony Day from Room 25

Creating Ciicuits

We had an great time this afternoon creating a variety of circuits. Thank you to Mr Sanderson for allowing us to borrow these amazing kits. We had to work hard with our group to make bulbs light, buzzers make a noise and even get vehicles to move.

Room 25 met their buddies today from Room 20, Year 1. We got to know our new friends and shared ideas ready for Harmony Day tomorrow. We look forward to meeting our buddy class very soon.

Where in the world?

We have been learning about where we are in the world. It has been fun using the table top globes to familiarise ourselves with other countries around us.

We have been learning about the continents of the world, oceans and countries near the Equator.

We are becoming much quicker at locating countries and some capital cities. The world is a fascinating place to visit and explore. Where would you go?

Parachutes

We had a great time making the best parachutes on Monday. We each had a doll and different materials. Our aim was to see who could keep their character in the air the longest.
