Recent News and Important Information.

We are nearly at the end of Term 1 and I have been impressed with how the children have settled into their learning and routines. The Literacy Block is going well, the children are making tremendous progress with their spellings and vocabulary and they have produced some interesting pieces of narrative and persuasive writing. It is extremely important that all children are encouraged to produce work of the highest standard in all learning areas, including homework. Thank you to those families who have supported this during Term 1. I look forward to seeing High levels of work and commitment continue in Term 2.

Parent Information Evening
I look forward to speaking to Parents on Tuesday 8th April from 11.45 onwards during Parent interviews. Please be advised that lessons will finish at this time and children need to be collected from class. I will be sending your interview time home on Wednesday 2nd April. This will be a great opportunity for us to discuss your child's behaviour and learning. I will be sending the Test Folders home on Friday. Please spend time having a look at the work completed and return them to school on Tuesday 8th ready for the information evening. Thank you. See you then.

Holiday Project
Room 9 have been set a mini project to complete which is due in the first week back after the holidays. They have been asked to choose a City/Town where they have lived, travelled to or would like to travel to. They need to inform the class of this City, including location on a map, traditions, customs, famous landmarks, history, food eaten, famous people from there, music or art created there. There are many items that the children could inform us about and they can do this in different ways. This could be a powerpoint, display board, poster, booklet or movie, they could use music, books, videos or pictures to show. I look forward to learning about Cities from around the world. We will be inviting the parents after the holidays. Good Luck!
