Harmony Day

Room 9 celebrated Harmony Day 2014 in style. Many countries were represented at Wattle Grove on Thursday and all students and staff looked fabulous. It was wonderful to see the variety of traditional costumes worn from around the world. The children of Room 9 experienced music, art, history and foods from a variety of countries. They took part in learning about flags, traditional clothing and traditions from many cultures and made traditional Native American dream catchers. The best part of the morning was experiencing a slice of Italy by making home made pizzas. It was a great way to see where ingredients originated from. The children loved making them but more importantly enjoyed eating them! Harmony Day was a huge success. Thank you to all the parents who supported the day by helping your child dress up for the special occasion.
