Celebrating Harmony Day

It was wonderful to see students celebrating Harmony Day 2015.

Thursday was a day to celebrate our cultures, beliefs and traditions. It was a day where we could all come together as one.

It was great to see so many smiling faces and interesting clothing from all areas of the globe.
Thank you to all parents who helped support your child dress in traditional costume for the day and for the generous donations. The school raised almost $600, which will be sent to support the people of Vanuatu during their time in need.

Congratulations to Miss Randall for creating such a beautiful Harmony Day Garden Display. It was lovely to read the kind messages and words all the children had written.

Happy Harmony Day!

Room 9's excursion to Scitech

Room 9 enjoyed a wonderful day of exploring at Scitech on Friday. We started off in the exhibition centre 'Our Back Yard'.

We then spent an hour in the science lab carrying out a variety of investigations. We had so much fun and learnt a lot about solids, liquids and gases.

We watched a show all about slime. It was interesting to see how it was made and how it changes from a solid to a liquid in your hand. We finally had an excellent time exploring in the main Scitech area. It gave us the opportunity to learn many aspects of science through hands on activities.

What an amazing day we had. We love science!
