Aaryan's problem of the day
Aaryan, from Room 11, loves Maths. He loves it that much that he wants you to try his problems each week. Aaryan will be creating problems for you to solve. If you have the answer then please see Aaryan to win a lunchie.
Good Luck.
Pizza Making
Room 11 made pizza today as part of our Harmony Day activities. We looked at foods from around the world and where certain ingredients come from. It was fun and educational to make our own healthy pizzas.
The best part of the morning was when we got to taste the final product.
Delicious!

Class Dojos
Room 11 have been working hard to gain 'Dojo Points'. They can get points for staying on task, moving around quietly, participating, helping others and many more. The following students have already gained their first 25 points. Congratulations to Tatiana who has gained her certificate for 25 and 50 points.
I am very proud of you.

Study Ladder Champs
Look at all the students from Room 11 who been hard at work on Study Ladder. They have been completing tasks to help them develop their skills in Literacy and Numeracy.
Remember to use your login at home to complete set tasks linked to activities we have been doing in class. Good Luck!
Science
The students in Room 11 have enjoyed growing broad beans over the last couple of weeks. They have been taking care of them, measuring their growth and recording any changes.
We also carried out a quick investigation to see what would happen to a ping pong ball when held over the top of a hairdryer.
It was amazing to see the ball float in the air and not fly onto the floor like some of us predicted.
It stayed in the air because the ball was being forced back down by gravity, even though the force of the air from the hairdryer was pushing it upwards. There was an equal force. The ball even moved around as we moved the hairdryer. It finally fell to the ground when the hairdryer was switched off.

Geography Project
Dear Parents
You all should have received a letter today outlining the project due for the beginning of Term 2. The students started their research and should have decided on which country, town or city they are choosing to report on. Good luck with your projects.

Out of school activities
Congratulations to Paige who has recently taken part in many dance and gymnastics competitions. Here she is showing off her trophies and medals.
We are all very proud of her achievements.
Collaborative Teams
Room 11 started working in new collaborative teams this week. They reflected on their previous groups and set new goals for the next 5 weeks. It was good to see each group support each other during their first task.
It was good to see the teams supporting one another and respecting their peers.
